Corey Shanklin vs Steven Firth

Boxing Daily Report from the Fuseini Promotions promoted show at Worcester Wilde, Worcester,  taking place on 10/01/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  On the line tonight is the USA-Mid Atlantic Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Corey Shanklin (12 - 3 - 2) who hails from New York City, USA and Steven Firth(8 - 9) from New York City, USA.  Both Shanklin and Firth weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is John Quirke, and the three ringside judges are George Keay, Brin Prentis and Chris Erving.

Shanklin tries to land a jab, but Firth sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.

Shanklin throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref stops the action.  The ref sends Firth to the neutral corner.  He warns Shanklin that continued fouling will result in a point deduction.
