Gethin James vs Angel Armenteros

Boxing Daily Report from the Ten Count Promotions promoted show at Ten Gym, Hull,  taking place on 16/12/2023:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Gethin James (1 - 0) who hails from Birmingham, UK and Angel Armenteros(0 - 2 - 6) from La Paz, Bolivia.  James weighed in at 118 pounds, while Armenteros weighed in at 117 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Timothy Yates, and the three ringside judges are Rob Apted, Paul Ladd and Dominic Patterson.  

Round 1: 

James is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the head, a right uppercut to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Armenteros is looking to keep his distance.  James lands a cross, jab and a cross to his opponents head.  
James closes the distance and hits home with a right hook.  
James lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
James walks his opponent down, trapping him in a corner.  James lands a left hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
Armenteros digs in a right uppercut to his opponents ribcage.  
James lands a left hook to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a right hook to the body.  James ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, James pushes his forearm into Armenteros's face.  The referee warns James and breaks the clinch.

James feints a cross, and then lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
James is looking to close the distance and digs in a left uppercut to Armenteros's body.  James holds on to his opponent.  James tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Armenteros behind the head. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

James walks Armenteros down, trapping him on the ropes.  James lands a left hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.

James hits home with a right hook.  James ties up his opponent.  The ref breaks James's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
James lands a jab.  
James gets on the inside and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  James ties up his opponent.  James leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. James pushes his forearm into Armenteros's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures James about fouling.  
James lands two consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents head.  
James lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
James hits home with a right hook.  
James walks Armenteros down, trapping him on the ropes.  James pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.
