Paul Madziva vs Max Mhlanga

Boxing Daily Report from the Harare Boxing Club promoted show at Mbare Netball Complex, Harare,  taking place on 15/01/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  On the line tonight is the Zimbabwe-Harare Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Joy TV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Paul Madziva (9 - 0) who hails from Harare, Zimbabwe and Max Mhlanga(8 - 5 - 2) from Harare, Zimbabwe.  Both Madziva and Mhlanga weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Kwamin Mahachi, and the three ringside judges are Jasper Nengomasha, Richie Mujuru and Patrick Chung.  

Round 1: 

Madziva is looking to close the distance and connects with a left uppercut.  Madziva ties up his opponent.  Madziva pushes his forearm into Mhlanga's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.
