Xavion Morro vs Jax Mieras

Boxing Daily Report from the Mr. Vicious promoted show at Our Ladys Hall, Dublin,  taking place on 20/01/2024:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Xavion Morro (1 - 0) who hails from Buenos Aires, Argentina and Jax Mieras(13 - 4 - 1) from Valencia, Spain.  Morro weighed in at 125 pounds and 14 ounces, while Mieras weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Lewis MacNevin, and the three ringside judges are Leon McPeters, Leon Finnin and Eoin McCadden.  

Round 1: 

Morro is looking to close the distance.  Mieras pivots from in front of his opponent.  Morro lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.

Morro closes the distance and throws a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.

Morro walks his opponent into the red corner.  Morro hits home with a sharp right hook.  Morro holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Mieras pushes his forearm into Morro's face.  The ref breaks Morro's hold and signals for the fight to continue.
