Mark Vail vs Rob Trevor

Boxing Daily Report from the Gore Promotions promoted show at Gore Gym, Boston,  taking place on 30/12/2023:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Mark Vail (1 - 0) who hails from Austin, USA and Rob Trevor(3 - 0) from Surprise, USA.  Both Vail and Trevor weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Dave Greenan, and the three ringside judges are Charles Keath, Hugh Hier and Bilal Elbaz.  

Round 1: 

Trevor attempts to land a right hook, but Vail dodges the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Vail connects with a right hook.  
Vail closes the distance and lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the body.  
Vail tries to land a left uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Vail steps inside.  Vail quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a sharp left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Trevor switches the action to the outside.  Vail finds the target with a jab.  
Trevor hits home with a right hook.  Trevor throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Trevor steps away from his opponent and tries to land a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Vail gets on the inside and cuts off the ring, trapping Trevor in the blue corner.  Vail pivots to the left of his opponent and digs in a right hook to his opponents ribcage.  
Vail lands a right hook.  
Vail digs in a left uppercut to his opponents liver.  
As Trevor tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Vail dabs at his face checking for damage.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Vail.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.  
Vail is on target with a left uppercut.  
Trevor tries to step out of his opponents range.  Vail lands a cross to the head followed by a jab to the body.  
Vail lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Trevor is looking to keep his distance.  Vail feints a jab, but Trevor ignores the feint and is on target with a right uppercut to Vail's body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Trevor's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Trevor's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.
