Ray Huggett vs Alberto Bonatti

Boxing Daily Report from the RJM Boxing promoted show at Chris Lawlis Gym, Cardiff,  taking place on 19/12/2023:

Clearly RJM Boxing have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Ray Huggett (0 - 0) who hails from Sheffield, UK and Alberto Bonatti(11(9) - 1) from Rome, Italy.  Both Huggett and Bonatti weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Edwyn Brodie, and the three ringside judges are Joshua Gillespie, Dale Carrick and Joshua Gillespie.  

Round 1: 

Bonatti steps inside and hits home with a left hook.  Bonatti ties up his opponent.  Bonatti leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Bonatti is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Bonatti and breaks the clinch.  
Bonatti is on target with a firm left hook to Huggett's liver.  
Bonatti gets on the inside and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body, AND DROPS HUGGETT!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  
Bonatti walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Bonatti is looking for the shot to finish his opponent.  Bonatti lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left uppercut to the body.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook to the body, a cross to the head and a left uppercut to the body.  It looks like Huggett has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Huggett attempts to land a left hook, but Bonatti blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Bonatti advances into close range and digs in a right uppercut to his opponents body.  Bonatti throws a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Huggett tries to step out of his opponents range and throws a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a sharp left uppercut to Huggett's body.  
Bonatti gets on the inside and lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents ribs, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Huggett quickly recovers. 
Huggett tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a jab.  
Bonatti lands a left hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Bonatti lands a right uppercut to the body, a right hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Huggett throws a left hook, but Bonatti clinches his opponent.  Bonatti is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Bonatti advances into close range and drives a stinging right hook into Huggett's ribs.  
Bonatti steps inside and cuts off the ring, trapping Huggett in a neutral corner.  Bonatti digs in a left hook to Huggett's liver.  
Huggett is on target with a left hook.  
Bonatti sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Bonatti throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Huggett throws a left uppercut, but Bonatti holds on to his opponent.  Bonatti leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Huggett tries to land a right uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a sharp left uppercut to his opponents liver.  HUGGETT WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Bonatti senses his opponent is hurt.  He is looking to stop Huggett and just needs the right shot.  Bonatti is on target with a weighty left uppercut to his opponents liver.  HUGGETT HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He manages to get up at 5.  Huggett now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Bonatti steps inside and drives a right hook into Huggett's body.  
Bonatti sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Bonatti attempts to land a cross, but Huggett sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Huggett lowers his hands, trying to provoke his opponent to attack.  Bonatti connects with an overhand right.  
Bonatti gets on the inside.  Huggett digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  
Huggett switches the action to the outside and finds the target with a jab.  
Bonatti lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Huggett almost instantly recovers.

Huggett lands a cross.  Huggett tries to land a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Bonatti closes the distance and drives a sharp right uppercut into his opponents body.  
Bonatti lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Bonatti digs in a left hook to Huggett's liver.  
Bonatti drives a right hook into his opponents ribcage.  Bonatti ties up his opponent.  Huggett leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Bonatti manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Bonatti pivots to the right of his opponent and is on target with a solid left hook.

Bonatti lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Huggett quickly recovers. 
Bonatti walks Huggett into a corner.  Bonatti pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a left uppercut to the head, a right hook to the body and a right uppercut to the body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Huggett quickly recovers.

Huggett steps away from his opponent.  Bonatti sees his opponent is hurt.  He's looking for the finish!  Bonatti lands a right uppercut followed by  two straights to his opponents head, AND HUGGETT IS DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 8.  
Bonatti steps inside and digs in a sharp right uppercut to his opponents body.  Huggett now seems to have got his legs back.  
Huggett is looking to keep his distance and hits home with an overhand right.  
Bonatti advances into close range and walks Huggett down, trapping him in the corner.  Bonatti drives a firm right hook into his opponents ribs.  HUGGETT WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Bonatti sees his opponent is hurt.  He's looking for the finish!  Bonatti lands consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents body, AND HUGGETT IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 4.

He does not believe Huggett can continue!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Bonatti!
