Shevon Phaahla vs Yann Swart

Boxing Daily Report from the Quick Tan Promotions promoted show at Ofosu-Ayeh Gym, Khayelitsha,  taking place on 16/12/2023:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Shevon Phaahla (0 - 0) who hails from Tembisa, South Africa and Yann Swart(1 - 0 - 1) from Soweto, South Africa.  Both Phaahla and Swart weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Colin Ntuli, and the three ringside judges are Rob Ndombe, Bongi Rantie and Madisha Mini.  

Round 1: 

Phaahla pivots to the side of his opponent and is on target with a left hook to Swart's body.  
Phaahla pivots from in front of his opponent and drives a right hook into his opponents ribcage.  
Phaahla digs in a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Phaahla gets on the inside.  Phaahla pivots from in front of his opponent and drives a left hook into his opponents liver.  
Phaahla gets on the inside.  Phaahla quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Phaahla walks Swart down, trapping him in the corner.  Phaahla pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Phaahla advances into close range and digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  
Phaahla lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Phaahla hits home with a cross.  
Phaahla closes the distance.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Swart dabs at his face checking for damage.

Phaahla leans on his opponent using all his weight. Swart pushes his forearm into Phaahla's face.  The ref breaks Phaahla's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Phaahla quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, a left uppercut to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Phaahla sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a right hook.  
Phaahla quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a left uppercut to the body.  
Phaahla pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  He continues the combination and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Phaahla pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Swart's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Swart's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Swart's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Phaahla pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Swart pivots to the side of his opponent.  Phaahla digs in a right hook to his opponents ribcage.  
Phaahla gets on the inside and connects with a right hook.  
Phaahla drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
Phaahla walks his opponent down, trapping him in the corner.  Phaahla lands two consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents head.  Phaahla attempts to land a right hook, but Swart blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut to Phaahla's ribcage.
