Quaddus Kaunda vs Cole Griffith

Boxing Daily Report from the Bos Firefighters promoted show at Marquette Gymnasium, Milwaukee,  taking place on 30/12/2023:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Quaddus Kaunda (1 - 0) who hails from Lusaka, Zambia and Cole Griffith(4 - 4) from San Francisco, USA.  Both Kaunda and Griffith weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Theo Gwenn, and the three ringside judges are Richard Cavanagh, Sid MacLaine and Richard Cavanagh.  

Round 1: 

Kaunda is looking to close the distance and connects with a solid left hook.  Kaunda holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Kaunda pushes his forearm into Griffith's face.  The ref breaks Kaunda's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  Kaunda attempts to land a left hook, but Griffith blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Kaunda quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and hits home with a left hook.  
Kaunda closes the distance and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  Kaunda ties up his opponent.  Kaunda pushes his forearm into Griffith's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Kaunda about fouling.  
Griffith tries to keep the action at long range.  Kaunda connects with a cross.  
Griffith is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Kaunda lands with a stiff jab.  
Griffith switches the action to the outside and throws a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Griffith connects with a left hook.  
Kaunda lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.

Kaunda lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.

Kaunda steps inside.  Griffith throws a left uppercut, but Kaunda holds on to his opponent.  Kaunda is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Kaunda and breaks the clinch.  
Griffith is on target with a left hook.
