Mike Shanks vs Marama Purukama

Boxing Daily Report from the AI New Zealand-Wellington promoted show at Wellington Venters, Wellington,  taking place on 13/01/2024:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Oceania Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Prime, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Mike Shanks (11(2) - 2 - 1) who hails from Wellington, New Zealand and Marama Purukama(10 - 3) from Auckland, New Zealand.  Both Shanks and Purukama weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Mark Ruskin, and the three ringside judges are Oliver Murray, Patrick Swanson and Oraora Pareraukawa.
