Matthew Chibwe vs James Van der Merwe

Boxing Daily Report from the Harare Boxing Club promoted show at Lusaka Lyainga, Lusaka,  taking place on 05/02/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on ZNBC, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Matthew Chibwe (6 - 0) who hails from Lusaka, Zambia and James Van der Merwe(2 - 3 - 5) from Pretoria, South Africa.  Chibwe weighed in at 147 pounds, while Van der Merwe weighed in at 146 pounds and 9 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Voshon Nchelenge, and the three ringside judges are Voshon Nchelenge, Elliot Hajamba and Kwamin Sichinga.  

Round 1:
