Lee Hendriks vs Bruce Callahan

Boxing Daily Report from the Goose Hollow Promotions promoted show at Goose Gym, Pittsburgh,  taking place on 27/12/2023:

Clearly Goose Hollow Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Lee Hendriks (0 - 0) who hails from Columbus, USA and Bruce Callahan(2 - 1 - 1) from St. Louis, USA.  Both Hendriks and Callahan weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Colin Blood, and the three ringside judges are Elliot Gambini, Sammy Duchamp and John Craigen.  

Round 1: 

Callahan throws a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Callahan wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Hendriks has taken some damage from that accidental headbutt.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.

Callahan's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Callahan's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Hendriks sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Hendriks closes the distance and lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Hendriks is on target with a left uppercut.  
Callahan sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Callahan throws a right hook, but Hendriks clinches his opponent.  Hendriks pushes his forearm into Callahan's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Hendriks.

Hendriks throws a left hook, but is unable to find the target.  Hendriks ties up his opponent.  Callahan uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Hendriks behind the head. Hendriks leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Hendriks's hold and signals for the fight to continue.
