Connor McMahon vs Andy Nevin

Boxing Daily Report from the Elliot Britton promoted show at Elliot Gym, Bristol,  taking place on 24/12/2023:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Connor McMahon (1 - 0) who hails from Bristol, UK and Andy Nevin(0 - 0) from London, UK.  Both McMahon and Nevin weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Marcus McCallen, and the three ringside judges are Chris Whitfield, Owen Pugh and Mark Clisham.  

Round 1: 

McMahon tries to keep the action at long range and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Nevin advances into close range and cuts off the ring, trapping McMahon on the ropes.  Nevin tries to land a right uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook to his opponents liver.  
McMahon hits home with a hard jab.  
McMahon lands a cross followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
McMahon switches the action to the outside and drives a cross into Nevin's body.

Nevin advances into close range.  Nevin wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to McMahon.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.  
McMahon tries to step out of his opponents range and finds the target with a spiteful jab.
