Dave Connolly vs Rex Taitt

Boxing Daily Report from the Rattlesnake Promotions promoted show at Rattlesnake Gym, Arlington,  taking place on 01/01/2024:

Clearly Rattlesnake Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Dave Connolly (2 - 0) who hails from New York City, USA and Rex Taitt(1 - 3 - 2) from Portland, USA.  Connolly weighed in at 111 pounds and 13 ounces, while Taitt weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Bryan Priddy, and the three ringside judges are Andy Saenz, Rob Smith and Arthur Kinna.  

Round 1: 

Connolly is on target with a left hook.

Connolly pivots to the right of his opponent.  Taitt throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref stops the action and gives Connolly time to recover.  
Connolly sidesteps to the right of his opponent and connects with a firm left hook.  
Connolly steps inside.  Connolly pivots to the right of his opponent and connects with a left hook.  
The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Taitt dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Connolly switches the action to the outside and hits the target with a solid jab.  
Connolly gets on the inside.  Connolly pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a right hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Connolly advances into close range.  Connolly pivots to the left of his opponent and is on target with a right hook to Taitt's body.  
Connolly is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a stinging cross.  Connolly throws an overhand left, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook.
