John Barnes vs Michael Aikens

Boxing Daily Report from the Rattlesnake Promotions promoted show at Rattlesnake Gym, Arlington,  taking place on 01/01/2024:

Clearly Rattlesnake Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are John Barnes (1 - 0) who hails from Orlando, USA and Michael Aikens(2 - 2) from Oceanside, USA.  Barnes weighed in at 112 pounds, while Aikens weighed in at 111 pounds and 15 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Bryan Priddy, and the three ringside judges are Andy Saenz, Rob Smith and Arthur Kinna.  

Round 1: 

Aikens gets on the inside.  Barnes drives a right hook into his opponents body.

Aikens pivots from in front of his opponent.  Aikens attempts to land a left hook, but Barnes parries the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Barnes is looking to keep the action on the outside and is on target with a jab.  
Barnes hits the target with a stinging jab.  
Aikens is looking to close the distance.  Barnes lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.
