Neil Yates vs Paul McCartney

Boxing Daily Report from the Elliot Britton promoted show at Elliot Gym, Bristol,  taking place on 24/12/2023:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Neil Yates (1 - 0) who hails from Bristol, UK and Paul McCartney(0 - 1) from London, UK.  Both Yates and McCartney weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Owen Pugh, and the three ringside judges are Marcus McCallen, Chris Whitfield and Mark Clisham.  

Round 1: 

Yates quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
McCartney attempts to land a cross, but Yates slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Yates gets on the inside and is on target with a right uppercut.  
Yates digs in a sharp left uppercut to his opponents liver.  
Yates lands consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents body.  
Yates lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Yates gets on the inside.  McCartney hits home with a left uppercut.  
Yates is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook.  Yates clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Yates pushes his forearm into McCartney's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Yates to stop fouling.  
McCartney sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Yates lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Yates lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Yates sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  McCartney throws a right uppercut, but Yates ties up his opponent.  McCartney tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Yates's kidney. The referee breaks the clinch and warns McCartney to stop fouling.

McCartney throws a right hook, but Yates holds on to his opponent.  Yates tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits McCartney behind the head. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Yates about fouling.  
Yates hits home with a right hook.  
Yates lands a right hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Yates drives a stinging right uppercut into his opponents body.  
Yates hits home with a left hook.  
Yates walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Yates lands a right hook to the head, a right uppercut to the body and a left uppercut to the body.  
Yates closes the distance.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  McCartney has been damaged by that accidental headbutt.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.

Yates sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  McCartney throws a right uppercut, but Yates clinches his opponent.  Yates leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Yates lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the head and a left hook to the body.
