Xeres Fierro vs Goro Koda

Boxing Daily Report from the Glove Shack promoted show at Hachioji Hotel New Grand, Hachioji,  taking place on 30/12/2023:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Xeres Fierro (4(1) - 0) who hails from Soyapango, El Salvador and Goro Koda(1 - 5 - 2) from Tokyo, Japan.  Fierro weighed in at 121 pounds and 10 ounces, while Koda weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Michi Uyehara, and the three ringside judges are Yuji Tsutsumi, Ichiro Tsukamoto and Yuji Ohta.  

Round 1: 

Fierro pivots from in front of his opponent.  Fierro lands a stinging jab.  Fierro attempts to land a cross, but Koda parries the shot and counters with a right uppercut.

Fierro lands a solid left uppercut.  Koda wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Fierro dabs at his face checking for damage.
