Blake Wiliams vs Carlos Quiroz

Boxing Daily Report from the Bos Firefighters promoted show at Marquette Gymnasium, Milwaukee,  taking place on 30/12/2023:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Blake Wiliams (1 - 0) who hails from Santa Clarita, USA and Carlos Quiroz(2 - 13 - 4) from Caracas, Venezuela.  Both Wiliams and Quiroz weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Sid MacLaine, and the three ringside judges are Richard Cavanagh, Richard Cavanagh and Theo Gwenn.  

Round 1: 

Wiliams gets on the inside and lands a right uppercut to the head, a right uppercut to the body and a right hook to the body.  Wiliams clinches his opponent.  Wiliams pushes his forearm into Quiroz's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Wiliams about fouling.  
Wiliams is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  
Quiroz steps to the outside.  Wiliams lands with a ramrod jab.  
Wiliams is looking to close the distance and is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  
Wiliams throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.

The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Wiliams dabs at his face checking for damage.  Wiliams has been damaged by that accidental headbutt.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.
