Hisoka Inaba vs Kei Hamamoto

Boxing Daily Report from the Shungwa Promotions promoted show at Mitsui Garden Hotel, Chiba,  taking place on 13/01/2024:

Clearly Shungwa Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Hisoka Inaba (1 - 0) who hails from Shizuoka, Japan and Kei Hamamoto(2 - 3 - 1) from Hiroshima, Japan.  Both Inaba and Hamamoto weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Fumio Taketa, and the three ringside judges are Kazuhiko Sakaguchi, Jiro Tobe and Michi Anzai.  

Round 1: 

Inaba steps inside and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Inaba advances into close range and drives a right hook into Hamamoto's body.  
Inaba lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Inaba is looking to close the distance and drives a left uppercut into his opponents body.  
Inaba throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Inaba manouvers Hamamoto onto the ropes.  Inaba is on target with a right hook to Hamamoto's body.  Hamamoto wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Inaba has been damaged by the clash of heads.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.  
Hamamoto pivots to the right of his opponent.  Inaba lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Hamamoto is looking to keep the action on the outside and tries to land a jab, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a sharp right uppercut.  
Inaba drives a right hook into his opponents ribs.  
Inaba quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a stinging right uppercut.  
Inaba steps inside and drives a left hook into his opponents ribs.  
Inaba gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Hamamoto's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Hamamoto's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Hamamoto.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.
