Angel Coronel vs Manny Marcos

Boxing Daily Report from the Wonani Promotions promoted show at Yalley Gym, Guayaquil,  taking place on 18/01/2024:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Ecuador-Guayas Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Angel Coronel (11 - 4 - 1) who hails from Guayaquil, Ecuador and Manny Marcos(11 - 4) from Guayaquil, Ecuador.  Coronel weighed in at 134 pounds and 7 ounces, while Marcos weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Roman Parrilla, and the three ringside judges are Joaquin Juliana, Quico Gaytan and Quiqui Rubi.  

Round 1: 

Coronel is on target with a right hook.  
Coronel advances into close range.  Marcos lands a left hook.  
Coronel steps inside.  Coronel sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook.

Marcos manages to force Coronel onto the ropes.  Marcos sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a left uppercut to his opponents liver.  
Marcos lowers his hands, trying to provoke his opponent to attack.  Coronel lands a jab.

Marcos walks his opponent down, trapping him in the corner.  Marcos pivots to the left of his opponent.  Coronel is on target with a left uppercut.  
Marcos goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref ignores Coronel's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Coronel lands a jab.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Coronel's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Marcos's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.
