Shing Tay vs Ryo Shimamoto

Boxing Daily Report from the Panyin Promotions promoted show at AL Gym, Fukuoka,  taking place on 23/01/2024:

Clearly Panyin Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Shing Tay (1 - 0) who hails from Nanjing, China and Ryo Shimamoto(0 - 2) from Tokyo, Japan.  Both Tay and Shimamoto weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Eiji Ban, and the three ringside judges are Hiroki Shimabukuro, Kaede Kuba and Ryo Hora.  

Round 1: 

Tay steps inside and digs in a right uppercut to Shimamoto's ribcage.  
Tay closes the distance.  Tay quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.
