Kook-young Rhee vs Aki Nakasone

Boxing Daily Report from the Panyin Promotions promoted show at AL Gym, Fukuoka,  taking place on 23/01/2024:

Clearly Panyin Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Kook-young Rhee (2 - 0) who hails from Busan, South Korea and Aki Nakasone(0 - 2 - 1) from Hiroshima, Japan.  Both Rhee and Nakasone weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Kaede Kuba, and the three ringside judges are Ryo Hora, Hiroki Shimabukuro and Eiji Ban.  

Round 1: 

Rhee finds the target with a jab.  
Rhee advances into close range and is on target with a left hook to Nakasone's body.  
Rhee lands a right hook.  Rhee ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Rhee pushes his forearm into Nakasone's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Rhee to stop fouling.  
Rhee lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  Rhee ties up his opponent.  Rhee leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Rhee uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Nakasone behind the head. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Rhee lands a left hook to the body followed by a jab to the head.  
Rhee connects with a cross.  
Rhee closes the distance.  Nakasone pivots to the side of his opponent.  Nakasone throws a left hook, but Rhee ties up his opponent.  Rhee is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Rhee drives a stinging right uppercut into Nakasone's body.  
Rhee is on target with a right uppercut.  
Nakasone attempts to land a jab, but Rhee dodges the shot and counters with a cross.  
Rhee gets on the inside.  Nakasone pivots to the right of his opponent.  Rhee drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
Rhee lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Rhee steps inside and lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Nakasone is on target with a cross to his opponents body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Nakasone's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Rhee is looking to close the distance and connects with a stinging right hook.  
Nakasone pivots from in front of his opponent.  Rhee lands a left hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a cross to the head.  
Nakasone switches the action to the outside.  Rhee hits home with a cross.  
Rhee lands an overhand left.  
Rhee steps inside and drives a sharp right hook into his opponents body.  
Nakasone retreats back to the ropes, and waits for his opponent to attack.  Rhee steps in throwing power shots but is unable to land cleanly.  
Rhee advances into close range and lands a left hook.  
Nakasone throws a left hook, but Rhee clinches his opponent.  Rhee tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Nakasone behind the head. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Rhee hits home with a cross.  Rhee throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Nakasone is looking to keep his distance.  Rhee lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Rhee quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Rhee lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Rhee is on target with a right hook to Nakasone's body.  
Rhee lands a right uppercut.  
Rhee lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Rhee gets on the inside.  Nakasone throws a left hook, but Rhee ties up his opponent.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Rhee digs in a sharp right uppercut to his opponents body.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Nakasone dabs at his face checking for damage.
