John Winchell vs David Cowens

Boxing Daily Report from the Hard hitting promotions promoted show at Lewis Coleman Gym, Nassau,  taking place on 10/03/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are John Winchell (3 - 0) who hails from Nassau, Bahamas and David Cowens(0 - 1) from Nassau, Bahamas.  Winchell weighed in at 249 pounds and 9 ounces, while Cowens weighed in at 248 pounds and 6 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Jack Binnie, and the three ringside judges are Geoff Ways, Paul Colville and Leo Fenwick.  

Round 1: 

Cowens sidesteps to the right of his opponent and drives a cross into Winchell's body.

Winchell cuts off the ring, trapping Cowens in a neutral corner.  Winchell lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  Winchell clinches his opponent.  Winchell leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.
