Justin Gorey vs Davie Griffith

Boxing Daily Report from the Hard hitting promotions promoted show at Lewis Coleman Gym, Nassau,  taking place on 10/03/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Justin Gorey (3 - 0) who hails from Nassau, Bahamas and Davie Griffith(0 - 1) from Nassau, Bahamas.  Both Gorey and Griffith weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Jack Binnie, and the three ringside judges are Paul Colville, Geoff Ways and Leo Fenwick.  

Round 1: 

Gorey lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Gorey pivots from in front of his opponent.  Gorey throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the punch.  Gorey holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Griffith pushes his forearm into Gorey's face.  The ref breaks Gorey's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Gorey lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Gorey hits home with a solid cross.  
Griffith switches the action to the outside.  Gorey hits home with a stinging jab.  
Gorey manages to force Griffith into a neutral corner.  Griffith throws a left hook, but Gorey holds on to his opponent.  Gorey leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Gorey lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Griffith attempts to land a jab, but Gorey dodges the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Gorey advances into close range and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  Gorey clinches his opponent.  Gorey pushes his forearm into Griffith's face.  The referee warns Gorey and breaks the clinch.  
Griffith steps to the outside.  Gorey lands a jab, cross and a jab to his opponents head.  
Gorey walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Gorey lands a right uppercut to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a right hook to the head.  
Gorey hits home with a right hook.  
Gorey pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a right uppercut.  
Gorey quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Gorey lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  Gorey clinches his opponent.  Gorey leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Gorey is looking to close the distance and digs in a left hook to Griffith's body.  
Gorey hits the target with a spiteful jab.  
Gorey closes the distance and lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Gorey pivots to the left of his opponent.  Gorey is on target with a right uppercut.  Gorey ties up his opponent.  Gorey uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Griffith's kidney.
