Zacarias Tandang vs Aimon Tigas

Boxing Daily Report from the ADR Boxing promoted show at One Arena Cainta, Cainta,  taking place on 03/02/2024:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Zacarias Tandang (3 - 0) who hails from Taguig, Philippines and Aimon Tigas(2 - 3) from Cainta, Philippines.  Tandang weighed in at 112 pounds, while Tigas weighed in at 111 pounds and 12 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Nicholas Tauyan, and the three ringside judges are Nicholas Tauyan, Berto Dumagan and Nick Caga-anan.  

Round 1: 

Tandang gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a left hook to the body.  Tandang ties up his opponent.  Tigas uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Tandang behind the head. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Tandang quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Tigas throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref stops the action and gives Tandang time to recover.  
Tandang advances into close range and digs in a right hook to Tigas's body.  
Tandang lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Tigas pivots to the side of his opponent.  Tandang is on target with a right hook.  Tandang clinches his opponent.  Tandang is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Tandang to stop fouling.  
Tandang is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  Tandang holds on to his opponent.  Tandang is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.

Tandang closes the distance and throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the punch.  Tandang ties up his opponent.  Tandang uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Tigas's kidney. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Tandang to stop fouling.  
Tandang lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Tandang gets on the inside.  Tandang sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Tigas strikes his opponents body with a jab.  
Tandang hits home with a firm right hook.  Tandang tries to land a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Tigas is looking to keep his distance.  Tandang lands an overhand right followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Tandang closes the distance.  Tandang hits home with a left hook.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Tigas.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.
