Yo Sum vs Jun Fuse

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Japan-Fukuoka promoted show at Fukuoka Matsuoka, Fukuoka,  taking place on 24/01/2024:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Yo Sum (2 - 0) who hails from Chengdu, China and Jun Fuse(5 - 1) from Fuji, Japan.  Both Sum and Fuse weighed in at 115 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Hisao Kamei, and the three ringside judges are Fumio Hara, Goro Koizumi and Akira Umemoto.  

Round 1: 

Sum attempts to land a jab, but Fuse sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Fuse steps away from his opponent and hits home with an overhand left.  
Fuse is looking to keep his distance and finds the target with a jab.  
Sum advances into close range and connects with a left uppercut.  
Sum forces Fuse to retreat into the red corner.  Fuse goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref ignores Sum's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Sum is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook.  
Sum hits home with a right hook.  
Sum lands a jab.  
Sum gets on the inside and connects with a left hook.  
Sum attempts to land a jab, but Fuse slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut to Sum's ribs.

Sum closes the distance.  Fuse quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent andAs Fuse tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Sum dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Sum lands a cross.  
Sum retreats back to the ropes, and waits for his opponent to attack.  Fuse tries to tag Sum on the ropes, but his opponent blocks every shot!  
Sum steps inside and lands a left hook.  Sum throws a right uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Fuse switches the action to the outside and tries to land a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Sum gets on the inside.  Fuse pivots to the side of his opponent and is on target with a right uppercut.  
Sum is looking to close the distance and connects with a left hook.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Sum's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.
