Guido Baldonado vs Fausto Gayagay

Boxing Daily Report from the ADR Boxing promoted show at One Arena Cainta, Cainta,  taking place on 03/02/2024:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Guido Baldonado (3 - 0) who hails from Taguig, Philippines and Fausto Gayagay(2 - 2 - 1) from Manila, Philippines.  Baldonado weighed in at 130 pounds, while Gayagay weighed in at 129 pounds and 11 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Nicholas Tauyan, and the three ringside judges are Nicholas Tauyan, Berto Dumagan and Nick Caga-anan.  

Round 1: 

Baldonado advances into close range and lands a left hook to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a left hook to the body.  Baldonado holds on to his opponent.  Gayagay throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Baldonado quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref stops the action and gives Gayagay time to recover.  
Baldonado is looking to close the distance and digs in a right hook to Gayagay's ribcage.  
Baldonado lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  He then lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Gayagay sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Baldonado lands a right hook.  
Gayagay sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Baldonado lands with a stinging jab.
