Marques Kabubu vs Manu Choongo

Boxing Daily Report from the Sangweni Promotions promoted show at Antwan Lunguzi Gym, Lusaka,  taking place on 03/02/2024:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Zambia Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on ZNBC, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Marques Kabubu (7 - 4) who hails from Lusaka, Zambia and Manu Choongo(4 - 2 - 1) from Lusaka, Zambia.  Both Kabubu and Choongo weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Uba Mwikuta, and the three ringside judges are Floyd Mubu, Luister Sibanda and Voshon Nchelenge.  

Round 1: 

Kabubu steps away from his opponent.  Choongo lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  Choongo throws a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.
