Vincent Hush vs Mark Medina

Boxing Daily Report from the Gore Promotions promoted show at Gore Gym, Boston,  taking place on 17/02/2024:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Vincent Hush (3 - 0) who hails from Fresno, USA and Mark Medina(0 - 1 - 1) from San Antonio, USA.  Both Hush and Medina weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Fred Reese, and the three ringside judges are Elliot Ogle, Hassan Quadri and Elliot Ogle.  

Round 1: 

Hush throws a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Hush steps to the outside and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Medina steps to the outside.  Hush finds the target with a jab.  
Hush closes the distance and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Hush steps away from his opponent.  Hush sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a jab.  
Hush gets on the inside.  Medina attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref stops the action and gives Hush time to recover.  
Hush advances into close range.  Hush sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Hush closes the distance and manages to force Medina onto the ropes.  Hush lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Hush advances into close range.  Hush sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a right uppercut to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the body.  
Hush lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  Hush clinches his opponent.  Hush leans on his opponent using all his weight. As they grapple, Hush pushes his forearm into Medina's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Hush advances into close range.  Hush pivots to the side of his opponent.  Medina throws a right hook, but Hush ties up his opponent.  Hush is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Hush to stop fouling.  
Hush feints a jab, but Medina is not fooled and is on target with a left hook.  
Medina switches the action to the outside.  Hush lands a straight 1 - 2.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Medina's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Medina's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Hush is looking to close the distance.  Hush pivots to the side of his opponent.  Medina throws a right hook, but Hush ties up his opponent.  Hush tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Medina behind the head. Hush leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Hush's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Hush lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Hush pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Hush pivots to the side of his opponent.  Medina is on target with a jab.  
Hush switches the action to the outside and lands with a solid jab.  
Hush steps inside and forces Medina to back into the blue corner.  Hush sidesteps to the right of his opponent and connects with a right hook.  
Hush lands a left uppercut to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  Hush holds on to his opponent.  Hush pushes his forearm into Medina's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Hush about fouling.

Hush is looking to keep the action on the outside and hits home with a cross.  
Hush steps inside and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Hush sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Medina throws a right uppercut, but Hush clinches his opponent.  Hush leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.
