Eiji Hattori vs Daichi Kai

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Japan-Osaka promoted show at Osaka Hirabayashi, Osaka,  taking place on 23/01/2024:

Clearly AI Japan-Osaka have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Eiji Hattori (2 - 0) who hails from Kyoto, Japan and Daichi Kai(0 - 2) from Ichikawa, Japan.  Hattori weighed in at 122 pounds, while Kai weighed in at 121 pounds And 11 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Michi Yokoyama, and the three ringside judges are Michi Yokoyama, Raiden Yamamura and Satoru Goda.  

Round 1: 

Hattori gets on the inside.  Hattori sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left uppercut to the body, and then to the head.

Hattori steps back and leans on the ropes with his guard up.  Kai is whaling away with hooks, but Hattori keeps his defence tight.  Kai hits home with a cross.

Hattori steps to the outside and lands an overhand right followed by  two straights to his opponents head.  
Hattori gets on the inside.  Kai sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Hattori lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.

Kai tries to land a right hook, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a right hook.

Hattori switches the action to the outside and lands three consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Kai's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Kai's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Kai's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.
