Saad Othman vs Hassan Hamawi

Boxing Daily Report from the Bally's Boys promoted show at Faisal Karimi Gym, Sana'a,  taking place on 22/01/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Saad Othman (3 - 0) who hails from Sana'a, Yemen and Hassan Hamawi(3 - 11 - 1) from Sana'a, Yemen.  Both Othman and Hamawi weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Abdul Khalaf, and the three ringside judges are Saad Khan, Haaris Abozaid and Tariq Dar.

The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Othman has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.

Othman is looking to close the distance.  Hamawi throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref ignores Othman's complaints and signals for the action to continue.

At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Hamawi's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Hamawi's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Hamawi's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.
