Daiki Yoshimoto vs Yo Qu

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Promotions promoted show at Tokyo Big Sight, Tokyo,  taking place on 22/02/2024:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  On the line tonight is the East Asian Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on NTV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Daiki Yoshimoto (11(4) - 0) who hails from Nishinomiya, Japan and Yo Qu(13 - 0 - 1(NC)) from Xian, China.  Both Yoshimoto and Qu weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Takeo Kibe, and the three ringside judges are Yutaka Hirayama, Ryo Shiroma and Kaede Toyama.  

Round 1: 

Yoshimoto steps away from his opponent and hits home with a sharp overhand right.
