Charles Pierson vs Ian Colton

Boxing Daily Report from the Rattlesnake Promotions promoted show at Rattlesnake Gym, Arlington,  taking place on 28/01/2024:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Charles Pierson (3 - 0) who hails from Sacremento, USA and Ian Colton(0 - 1 - 3) from Rockford, USA.  Pierson weighed in at 114 pounds And 10 ounces, while Colton weighed in at 115 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Paul Mings, and the three ringside judges are Robert Corfield, Joel Abraham and Andy Saenz.

Colton is clearly losing his cool here!    He throws a hook, and catches Pierson low!  The ref tells Colton to keep his punches above the belt.  He gives Pierson time to recover.

Colton steps inside.  Pierson sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Colton throws a left hook, but Pierson holds on to his opponent.  Colton hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Colton to stop fouling.  
Pierson pivots from in front of his opponent.  Colton throws a left hook, but the shot is blocked.  Pierson ties up his opponent.  Colton tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Pierson behind the head. The ref breaks Pierson's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Pierson feints a right, and then lands a cross followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Colton steps inside and walks Pierson into a corner.  Colton is not fighting as well as he'd like.   He advances forward with head down and it catches Pierson in the face!  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.  The ref doesnt appear to have noticed the foul and signals for the action to continue.  
Pierson lands a jab.  
At the end of Round 5, lets listen in on the corners...Pierson's trainer is telling his fighter he is winning comfortably and should get on his bike for the remainder of the fight.  Colton's trainer is telling his fighter he needs a knockout to win!
