Stephen Briar vs Crouwel Zatyt

Boxing Daily Report from the Frank Smith’s Tea Boy Promotions promoted show at Frank Gym, Manchester,  taking place on 20/01/2024:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Stephen Briar (0 - 0) who hails from London, UK and Crouwel Zatyt(0 - 2 - 1) from Rotterdam, Netherlands.  Briar weighed in at 126 pounds, while Zatyt weighed in at 125 pounds and 7 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Ewan Goodlet, and the three ringside judges are Ryan Wilde, Harvey McIver and Ian Lowery.  

Round 1: 

Briar lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Briar is on target with a left hook to Zatyt's body.  
Briar sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Briar throws a left hook, but his opponent avoids the shot.  Briar holds on to his opponent.  Briar pushes his forearm into Zatyt's face.  The ref breaks Briar's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Zatyt steps inside.  Briar quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
As Zatyt tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Briar dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Briar lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Briar holds on to his opponent.  Briar is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Briar's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Briar is on target with a right uppercut to his opponents ribcage.  Briar clinches his opponent.  Briar is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Briar to stop fouling.  
Briar pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a left hook.  
Briar steps inside and is on target with a right hook to Zatyt's ribs.  
Briar pivots from in front of his opponent andAs the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Zatyt dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Briar steps inside and drives a left hook into Zatyt's liver.  
Zatyt steps inside.  Briar digs in a right hook to his opponents ribcage.  
Briar drives a right hook into his opponents body.  Briar ties up his opponent.  Briar uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Zatyt behind the head. 
Briar lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Zatyt's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Zatyt's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Zatyt's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Briar lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Briar feints a left, and then hits the target with a solid jab.  
Briar steps inside and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  He then lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Zatyt quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Briar lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Briar is on target with a left uppercut.  
Briar digs in a left uppercut to Zatyt's body.  
Briar pivots to the right of his opponent.  Zatyt hits home with a left hook.  
Zatyt is looking to close the distance.  Briar lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Briar digs in a left uppercut to Zatyt's body.
