Luis Lamora vs Niall Kavanagh

Boxing Daily Report from the Frank Smith’s Tea Boy Promotions promoted show at Frank Gym, Manchester,  taking place on 20/01/2024:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Luis Lamora (2 - 0) who hails from Asuncion, Paraguay and Niall Kavanagh(2 - 1 - 3) from Cork, Ireland.  Both Lamora and Kavanagh weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ryan Wilde, and the three ringside judges are Harvey McIver, Ewan Goodlet and Ian Lowery.  

Round 1: 

Lamora is looking to close the distance and digs in a right hook to Kavanagh's body.  
Lamora pivots to the right of his opponent and is on target with a left hook.  
Kavanagh switches the action to the outside.  Lamora quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a cross.

Lamora walks Kavanagh down, trapping him in a corner.  Lamora sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Kavanagh tries to land a right hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a left hook.

Lamora backs onto the ropes...he is waving his opponent in!  Kavanagh steps in throwing power shots but is unable to land cleanly.  
Lamora steps inside and is on target with a right hook.  
Kavanagh pivots from in front of his opponent.  Kavanagh attempts to land a left hook, but Lamora blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Lamora lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  Lamora holds on to his opponent.  Lamora pushes his forearm into Kavanagh's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Kavanagh is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Lamora lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Lamora tries to step out of his opponents range.  Kavanagh lowers his hands, trying to provoke his opponent to attack.  Lamora lands two straights to the head followed by a jab to the body.
