Shayan Badini vs Rashid Ashraf

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Egypt-Cairo promoted show at Cairo Iqbal, Cairo,  taking place on 16/02/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Egypt-Cairo Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Modern Sport, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Shayan Badini (8 - 3 - 5) who hails from Cairo, Egypt and Rashid Ashraf(11 - 2 - 1) from Cairo, Egypt.  Both Badini and Ashraf weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Obaid Saad, and the three ringside judges are Waleed Ashraf, Haaris Kassas and Waqar Marzouk.  

Round 1: 

Ashraf feints a jab, and then is on target with a cross.  
Ashraf gets on the inside and walks his opponent into a corner.  Ashraf sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Badini pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Ashraf throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref stops the action and gives Badini time to recover.  
Ashraf quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Badini lands a left hook.  
Badini pivots from in front of his opponent and is on target with a right hook.  
Ashraf walks Badini down, trapping him in a corner.  Ashraf hits home with a right hook.  
Badini retreats back to the ropes, and waits for his opponent to attack.  Ashraf steps in throwing power shots but is unable to land cleanly.  Ashraf lands a right uppercut.  
Ashraf is looking to close the distance and connects with a left hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Badini's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Badini's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.
