Paul Ngassi vs Sammy Kajdombo

Boxing Daily Report from the African Fusion promoted show at African Gym, Johannesburg,  taking place on 08/02/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Paul Ngassi (1 - 0) who hails from Johannesburg, South Africa and Sammy Kajdombo(4 - 5 - 2) from Mitchells Plain, South Africa.  Ngassi weighed in at 122 pounds, while Kajdombo weighed in at 121 pounds and 8 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Ndumisa Ntuli, and the three ringside judges are John Cele, Quaddus Rascalimu and Vuyisile Sekola.  

Round 1: 

Ngassi feints a jab, and then hits home with a cross.

Ngassi walks Kajdombo down, trapping him in a neutral corner.  Ngassi lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Ngassi connects with a left hook.  Ngassi holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Kajdombo pushes his forearm into Ngassi's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Kajdombo.
