Shevon Phaahla vs Musa Mxenge

Boxing Daily Report from the Quick Tan Promotions promoted show at Ofosu-Ayeh Gym, Khayelitsha,  taking place on 02/02/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Shevon Phaahla (2 - 0) who hails from Tembisa, South Africa and Musa Mxenge(1 - 2) from Khayelitsha, South Africa.  Both Phaahla and Mxenge weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Laken Ako, and the three ringside judges are La Vonn Dorkenoo, Oringo Arthur and Xhosas Serero.  

Round 1: 

Phaahla gets on the inside and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Phaahla is looking to close the distance.  Phaahla lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.

Phaahla advances into close range and drives a right hook into Mxenge's ribcage.  
Phaahla steps inside and lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Mxenge steps inside and throws a left hook, but Phaahla clinches his opponent.  Phaahla is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Phaahla and breaks the clinch.  
Phaahla is on target with a right uppercut.

Phaahla tries to step out of his opponents range and is on target with an overhand left.
