Boxing Daily Report from the Rattlesnake Promotions promoted show at Rattlesnake Gym, Arlington,  taking place on 03/02/2024:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Ollie Davies (2 - 0) who hails from Reno, USA and Robert MacCarthy(0 - 2 - 1) from Syracuse, USA.  Davies weighed in at 238 pounds And 12 ounces, while MacCarthy weighed in at 230 pounds And 8 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Noah Fergusson, and the three ringside judges are Johnny Cornejo, Spencer Aurelio and Noah Fergusson.

Davies lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.

Davies steps inside.  MacCarthy hits home with a left uppercut.

Davies pivots to the left of his opponent and is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  
Davies lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Davies connects with a right hook.  
Davies digs in a left hook to MacCarthy's ribs.  
MacCarthy tries to keep the action at long range.  Davies connects with an overhand left.  
Davies attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref stops the action.  The ref sends MacCarthy to the neutral corner.  He tells Davies he will lose a point if he continues to foul.  
Davies steps inside.  Davies quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Davies steps inside.  Davies pivots to the left of his opponent and connects with a right uppercut.  
Davies sidesteps to the right of his opponent and drives a left uppercut into MacCarthy's body.  
Davies gets on the inside.  MacCarthy throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref stops the action and gives Davies time to recover.  
Davies lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Davies manouvers MacCarthy onto the ropes.  Davies digs in a left hook to MacCarthy's liver.  As Davies tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to MacCarthy.  That has caused slight damage to the nose.  
Davies drives a left hook into MacCarthy's body.  
Davies advances into close range.  Davies pivots to the left of his opponent.  Davies tries to land a right hook, but MacCarthy sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Davies is looking to close the distance and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
MacCarthy is looking to keep his distance.  Davies feints a cross, and then drives a sharp jab into his opponents face.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Davies's trainer is advising his fighter to keep his distance and coast to the win. MacCarthy's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  MacCarthy's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.
