Merk Buys vs Jackson Mokeana

Boxing Daily Report from the Quick Tan Promotions promoted show at Ofosu-Ayeh Gym, Khayelitsha,  taking place on 02/02/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Merk Buys (3 - 0) who hails from Mitchells Plain, South Africa and Jackson Mokeana(0 - 5 - 3) from Khayelitsha, South Africa.  Both Buys and Mokeana weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Laken Ako, and the three ringside judges are La Vonn Dorkenoo, Oringo Arthur and Xhosas Serero.  

Round 1: 

Buys lands a right hook.  
Buys steps inside and lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.

Buys quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Mokeana throws a left hook, but Buys clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Buys pushes his forearm into Mokeana's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Buys about fouling.  
Buys steps inside and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Buys closes the distance and lands a right hook, left uppercut and a right hook to his opponents body.
