Shin Konishi vs Hideki Hiraoka

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Japan-Tokyo promoted show at Hisoka Nakamura Gym, Tokyo,  taking place on 21/02/2024:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Japan-Tokyo Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Shin Konishi (6 - 5 - 2) who hails from Tokyo, Japan and Hideki Hiraoka(3 - 3(1) - 3) from Tokyo, Japan.  Both Konishi and Hiraoka weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Kaede Toyama, and the three ringside judges are Kazuhiko Nakano, Ichiro Tsukamoto and Jun Hino.  

Round 1: 

Konishi connects with a cross.

As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Hiraoka dabs at his face checking for damage.  Hiraoka has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.
