Dave Boyle vs Darragh Rinne

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Ireland-Leinster promoted show at Leinster Hall, Dundalk,  taking place on 01/02/2024:

Clearly AI Ireland-Leinster have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Dave Boyle (0 - 0) who hails from Dublin, Ireland and Darragh Rinne(0 - 0) from Dun Laoghaire, Ireland.  Boyle weighed in at 112 pounds, while Rinne weighed in at 111 pounds and 5 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Brett Rabbitt, and the three ringside judges are Joshua MacCarthy, Leon McPeters and Lee Beirne.

Boyle tries to keep the action at long range.  Boyle feints a jab, but Rinne ignores the feint and responds with a cross.  
Boyle feints a jab, and then is on target with a solid cross.  
Boyle steps inside and lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Rinne forces Boyle to retreat onto the ropes.  Boyle lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Boyle lands a solid cross.  
Boyle steps to the outside.  Boyle feints a left, and then lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Boyle is on target with a cross.

Boyle pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Boyle gets on the inside and hits home with a sharp right hook.  
Boyle closes the distance and lands a right hook.  
Rinne throws a right hook, but Boyle clinches his opponent.  Boyle is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Boyle to stop fouling.  
Boyle digs in a sharp left hook to Rinne's ribs.  
Boyle forces Rinne to back into the ropes.  Boyle pivots to the right of his opponent and is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  
Boyle lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
At the end of Round 3, lets listen in on the corners...Rinne's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

Rinne steps to the outside.  Boyle hits home with a sharp jab.  Boyle throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Boyle lands a cross.  
Boyle digs in a right hook to Rinne's ribcage.  
Boyle advances into close range.  Rinne throws a right hook, but Boyle holds on to his opponent.  Boyle uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Rinne behind the head. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Boyle about fouling.
