Sam Killough vs Malik Ashraf

Boxing Daily Report from the Frank Smith’s Tea Boy Promotions promoted show at Frank Gym, Manchester,  taking place on 05/02/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Sam Killough (0 - 0) who hails from Boston, USA and Malik Ashraf(2 - 0) from Portsmouth, UK.  Both Killough and Ashraf weighed in at 115 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Mike Sconce, and the three ringside judges are Zain Salam, Dale Garrett and Wayne Atcheson.  

Round 1: 

Killough closes the distance and drives a left hook into his opponents ribs.

Ashraf is looking to keep the action on the outside and throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref ignores Killough's complaints and signals for the action to continue.

Ashraf throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Killough drives a right uppercut into his opponents ribcage.

Killough lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Killough manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Killough sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a sharp right hook.  
Killough lands a solid right hook.  
Ashraf steps away from his opponent and is on target with a jab.  
Killough is looking to close the distance and is on target with a left hook.  
Killough lands a solid right uppercut.  
Killough walks his opponent into the corner.  Killough sidesteps to the left of his opponent and connects with a cross.

Killough manouvers Ashraf onto the ropes.  Killough lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Ashraf dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Killough gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  He then lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.
