Lisandro Montoro vs Venacio Serafin

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Peru-Lima promoted show at Coliseo Mauro Mina 'La Bombonera', Lima,  taking place on 28/02/2024:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Peru Super Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Lisandro Montoro (3 - 5(1) - 2) who hails from Lima, Peru and Venacio Serafin(6 - 2) from Lima, Peru.  Both Montoro and Serafin weighed in at 115 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Jose Gardin, and the three ringside judges are Iago Martir, Quin Morua and Diego Lara.  

Round 1: 

Serafin is looking to close the distance.  Montoro throws a right uppercut, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Serafin manouvers Montoro onto the ropes.  Serafin quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a left uppercut.

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Serafin.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.
