Joel Kusuro vs Robert Odoki

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Uganda-Northern Region promoted show at Xhosas Kiyingi Gym, Gulu,  taking place on 02/03/2024:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Uganda-Northern Region Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Joel Kusuro (10 - 6) who hails from Lira, Uganda and Robert Odoki(8 - 4 - 1) from Gulu, Uganda.  Kusuro weighed in at 146 pounds And 10 ounces, while Odoki weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Duante Mukiibi, and the three ringside judges are Majid Aman, Sid Commins and Quarren Adubango.  

Round 1: 

Kusuro connects with a cross.

Odoki is looking to close the distance.  Odoki pivots to the left of his opponent andThe two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Odoki dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Kusuro switches the action to the outside and hits home with an overhand right.  
Odoki gets on the inside.  Kusuro sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Odoki connects with a right hook.  Kusuro holds on to his opponent.  Odoki throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. Kusuro is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.
