Brian McAffee vs James McIntyre

Boxing Daily Report from the Frank Smith’s Tea Boy Promotions promoted show at Frank Gym, Manchester,  taking place on 05/02/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Brian McAffee (2 - 0) who hails from Northampton, UK and James McIntyre(1 - 2) from Birmingham, UK.  Both McAffee and McIntyre weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Mike Sconce, and the three ringside judges are Dale Garrett, Zain Salam and Wayne Atcheson.  

Round 1: 

McAffee hits home with a cross.  
McAffee lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
McAffee lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
McAffee lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  He then lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
McAffee lands two right uppercut's to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
McAffee steps inside and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
McAffee hits home with a left hook.  
McIntyre closes the distance.  McAffee is on target with a left hook.  
McAffee lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
McAffee is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
McAffee lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  McAffee ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, McAffee pushes his forearm into McIntyre's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
McIntyre quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  McAffee drives a left hook into McIntyre's liver.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...McIntyre's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  McIntyre's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

McIntyre tries to land a right hook, but McAffee sidesteps and counters with a right hook.

McAffee lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
McAffee lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as McAffee dabs at his face checking for damage.
