Ingvar Matthiesen vs Andy Nevin

Boxing Daily Report from the Frank Smith’s Tea Boy Promotions promoted show at Frank Gym, Manchester,  taking place on 05/02/2024:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Ingvar Matthiesen (2(1) - 0) who hails from Aarhus, Denmark and Andy Nevin(0 - 1) from London, UK.  Both Matthiesen and Nevin weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Dale Garrett, and the three ringside judges are Mike Sconce, Zain Salam and Wayne Atcheson.  

Round 1: 

Matthiesen is looking to close the distance and digs in a solid left hook to Nevin's ribs.

Matthiesen gets on the inside and lands a left hook, left uppercut and a right hook to his opponents body.  
Matthiesen lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  Matthiesen holds on to his opponent.  Matthiesen pushes his forearm into Nevin's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Matthiesen to stop fouling.  
Matthiesen lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Nevin throws a right hook, but Matthiesen ties up his opponent.  Matthiesen leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Matthiesen uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Nevin behind the head. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Matthiesen about fouling.  
Matthiesen is looking to close the distance.  Matthiesen pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Matthiesen lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs, AND DROPS NEVIN!  He manages to get up at 5.  
Nevin could be stopped here, if Matthiesen can find the right shot!  Matthiesen lands a cross to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  He continues the combination and lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body, KNOCKING NEVIN DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  Nevin now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.
