Barry Rusere vs Ethan Tshamala

Boxing Daily Report from the Harare Boxing Club promoted show at Harare Mkondo, Harare,  taking place on 03/03/2024:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Joy TV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Barry Rusere (10 - 3) who hails from Harare, Zimbabwe and Ethan Tshamala(10 - 3 - 2) from Harare, Zimbabwe.  Both Rusere and Tshamala weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Steven Joubert, and the three ringside judges are Bryn Chinmano, Chris Tholet and Richie Mujuru.  

Round 1: 

Tshamala advances into close range and manouvers Rusere onto the ropes.  Tshamala is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Tshamala is on target with a left hook to Rusere's body.  
Rusere feints a jab, and then lands a cross.  
Rusere tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a solid cross.  
Rusere hits home with a stinging cross.

Tshamala advances into close range.  Rusere digs in a left hook to Tshamala's body.  Rusere clinches his opponent.  Rusere is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Rusere and breaks the clinch.  
Tshamala steps inside.  Rusere quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Tshamala throws a right hook, but Rusere clinches his opponent.  Tshamala tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Rusere behind the head. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Tshamala about fouling.  
Tshamala throws a right uppercut, but Rusere ties up his opponent.  Rusere is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Rusere's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Tshamala throws a left hook, but Rusere clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Tshamala pushes his forearm into Rusere's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Tshamala about fouling.  
Rusere lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Rusere throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref ignores Tshamala's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Tshamala closes the distance.  Rusere connects with a stinging right uppercut.
