Rob Cadden vs Peter Pirie

Boxing Daily Report from the Hennessy Boxing promoted show at Convention & Exhibition Centre, Melbourne,  taking place on 08/03/2024:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Australia-Victoria Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Rob Cadden (8 - 4) who hails from Melbourne, Australia and Peter Pirie(3 - 1 - 3) from Melbourne, Australia.  Cadden weighed in at 139 pounds and 12 ounces, while Pirie weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Jake Denniston, and the three ringside judges are Hugh Collins, Ricky Gebbie and Clinton Waugh.  

Round 1: 

Pirie steps inside and throws a right hook, but Cadden holds on to his opponent.  Cadden pushes his forearm into Pirie's face.  The referee warns Cadden and breaks the clinch.  
Cadden lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the body.  
Pirie is on target with a cross.  
Cadden closes the distance.  Cadden sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Cadden lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Cadden walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Cadden lands a right hook to the head, a right uppercut to the body and a right hook to the head.  Cadden clinches his opponent.  Cadden is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.
