Zacarias Cura vs Kyo Ueda

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Japan-Osaka promoted show at Osaka Oki, Osaka,  taking place on 11/03/2024:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Zacarias Cura (3 - 0) who hails from Quezon City, Philippines and Kyo Ueda(2 - 5 - 1) from Amagasaki, Japan.  Both Cura and Ueda weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Kenji Tamura, and the three ringside judges are Aki Yamazaki, Naoki Shiraki and Takeshi Shimomura.  

Round 1: 

Cura lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  Cura throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.

The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Cura dabs at his face checking for damage.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Cura.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.  
Ueda is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Cura lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.
