Sammy Wight vs Amon Makiha

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Promotions promoted show at Logan Campbell Centre, Auckland,  taking place on 07/03/2024:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Sommet Sports, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Sammy The Brisbane Bomber Wight (10(4) - 0) who hails from Adelaide, Australia and Amon Makiha(6 - 4 - 3) from Manukau, New Zealand.  Wight weighed in at 112 pounds, while Makiha weighed in at 111 pounds And 13 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Henry Edmonston, and the three ringside judges are Ellis Raharuhi, Bryan Swineford and Antwan Vaughan.  

Round 1: 

Wight connects with a solid right hook.
